Both games delivered plenty of action, with the New York Atlas and Denver Outlaws emerging victorious to secure their spots in the title matchup. The Atlas held off the Philadelphia Waterdogs in a tight contest, while the Outlaws pulled away from the California Redwoods with a strong second-half performance. Now, two of the league’s most talented squads will meet with the championship on the line.

Atlas and Outlaws Set for PLL Championship Showdown

Game 1: Atlas vs. Waterdogs

The New York Atlas battled past the Philadelphia Waterdogs with a 13-11 win, earning their spot in the Premier Lacrosse League championship. Connor Shellenberger led the charge with a goal and four assists, while Xander Dickson (4G), Matt Traynor (3G, 1A), and Jeff Teat (1G, 3A) fueled a balanced attack, alongside Reid Bowering’s two goals and an assist. For the Waterdogs, Ben Wayer delivered two clutch two-pointers with two assists, CJ Kirst and Michael Sowers each added two goals, and Jimmy Freehill chipped in a long-pole score. With the win, the Atlas advance to meet the Denver Outlaws in the championship.

Game 2: Outlaws vs. Redwoods

The Denver Outlaws punched their ticket to the Premier Lacrosse League championship with a 12-7 win over the California Redwoods. Brennan O’Neill powered Denver’s offense with six points, including a two-point goal, while Pat Kavanagh (1G, 2A), Jared Bernhardt (1G, 1A), and Dalton Young (2G) rounded out a balanced attack. Goalie Logan McNaney came up clutch with 11 saves, helping Denver hold California scoreless in the third quarter as the Outlaws outscored the Redwoods 6-1 after halftime. Despite Dylan Molloy’s four-point effort and Chayse Ierlan’s 16 saves, California couldn’t match Denver’s pace. With the win, the Outlaws advance to face the New York Atlas in the championship.
